Message timing to be pulled by the ECU because it sensed detonation via the detonation sensor... Its not going to pull timing and start detonating, that's backwards.

The rod bearing failure I directly attribute to detonation, of which was onset by the fact that the owner, Todd Reeves, did not take my recommendation and run only 8psi of boost on pump fuel. He turned it up to 15psi and ran it like that, and calling the rattling in the engine "spark knock" as if it were different from deontation... Todd Reeves is a Z-idiot who wouldn't listen to reason with the care of his car and that is the reason the bearing failed.

My point was that pulling timing AFTER detonation occurs is what the ECU does. That little article you posted, whoever it came from, is proposing that pulling timing when detonation occurs is going to melt holes in pistons, of which I am strongly opposing.. Who the hell is this A. Grahm Bell guy anyway?
